This is my wedding day mantra. I’m there as your guest, which means I am there to prioritize your experience. This means I’ll never ask you to fake adjust your earrings for the 5th time, and I’ll never pull you out of a laugh-filled conversation. We’ll make time for awesome portraits, but my main goal is to document the day: the laughs, the tears, the joy, all of the heart and beauty and love.

If you’ve ever thought: wedding photos are cheesy, I don’t want to feel uncomfortable in my photos, I want to feel relaxed and natural and like myself - let’s chat.

My family and I live in Raleigh most of the year, with a chunk of the summer spent in Maine. With immediate family in Austin, Maine, Boston, Alaska, Toronto, Honduras, and elsewhere, we are frequently on the go.

I have photographed weddings and couples across North Carolina, as well as Maine, Texas, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Iceland, and Paris, France, and would love to connect with you wherever you and your love may reside.

This year I’m excited to be photographing weddings in New Orleans, Boston, Maine, Virginia, and all across North Carolina.

I’m Tom and I love weddings.

I fell in love with weddings when I was nine years old. It was my Dad’s third wedding, to my second stepmother, and my teenage cousins had started a conga line that was snaking across the dance floor, picking up steam as it went. Drunk uncles and sober grandmas joined the fray, and soon the whole reception was in on it. I hopped into the middle, a huge smile on my face, and thought this is awesome.

After photographing over 100 weddings, I still feel this same sense of joy, optimism, and excitement every time I photograph a wedding.
