Meet Your

Photographer

I’m Tom, and I love weddings.

Weddings are one night only events. You’ve gathered your friends, your family, all your people from every slice of your life to join you and celebrate. You want a photographer there who will feel like a guest, and capture every moment of you & your loved ones having the night of your lives. Let’s celebrate!

If you’re looking for a photographer who values people over pageantry, community & connection over pomp & circumstance, and will focus on helping you actually enjoy your wedding day, I’d love to chat with you.

My wife Lindsey & I live in Raleigh, NC with our two young daughters, although we have immediate family and best friends spread across North America, so we are frequently on the go. We spend a portion of each summer in my native New England, and I travel back to New England frequently for weddings. Before Raleigh, we lived in Austin, TX, for nearly a decade, where I played guitar in several bands and ate Tex-Mex as much as humanly possible.

Current Media Obsessions: Severance, What We Do in the Shadows, Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, Waxahatchee.

How I Became a Photographer

  • Lindsey & I marred in 2016 and we loved our wedding photographer (shoutout https://samhugh.com/) so much that I eventually followed in his footsteps.

  • I’ve been a photographer for 5 years and I’ve photographed nearly 200 weddings. Photographing weddings truly is my life’s work.

  • In my past work lives, I’ve been a guitarist, an HR manager, a corporate trainer at big companies, and a very unsuccessful Sears appliance salesman.

What Inspires Me

  • Couples & families who value and focus on the experience of their guests.

  • Couples & guests who honor the occasion with their full presence.

  • Beautiful light helps, but I pride myself on being able to create great photos in all lighting conditions.

  • My favorite part of almost every wedding is the dance floor, where celebration abounds, inhibitions are gone, and everyone is having the time of their damn lives.

The wedding world can sometimes feel opaque, mysterious, and hard to navigate. I’m an open book and a friendly face - let’s connect!
