Durham, NC Winter Wedding

Rustin & Nan’s winter wedding in Durham, NC at Namu restaurant last year was one of my absolute favorites. With wedding florals by Mood Fleuriste, and a blend of Jewish & Persian wedding traditions, this was a memorable and beautiful wedding between two wonderful people.

Rustin & Nan and I had met by fate a few months earlier, when their original engagement photographer became unavailable, and Rustin hired me last minute to photograph engagement photos for them. At the time, wedding plans were up in the air, but quickly came together as Rustin acquired a new job overseas, thus speeding up the couple’s original timeline. I was so glad to be able to celebrate with this wonderful couple and document all the beauty and joy of their day.

Things I loved about this wedding: merging of traditions, thoughtful details, kindness and love among friends, the beauty of two families becoming one, and a free flowing dance party with live music.
