The Cotton Room has two on-site getting-ready suites, the Magnolia Suite & the Lucky Strike Suite. Unlike many other venues, BOTH suites are large - one wedding I photographed here had a full wedding party of 25 people! Both members of the couple were able to relax, enjoy, and had plenty of room, even with the giant wedding parties.

The Cotton Room is a large, indoor wedding venue in Durham, NC, with a brick and industrial aesthetic. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing several weddings at The Cotton Room, as well as serving as their official photographer for their January 2024 open house.

The Cotton Room: A Versatile Venue

I love the versatility of the Cotton Room. As a primarily indoor venue, we never have to worry about weather, but there are a few outdoor spots for couple portraits, and for smaller group photos. The venue can accommodate up to 400 guests if you are having a giant rager, while it can also be configured for smaller guest counts.

The Cotton Room also handles pretty much all of the wedding day logistics, including on-site catering that is super delicious.
