Norumbega Inn Wedding | Camden, Maine

The Norumbega Inn is one of the most elegant wedding venues in Camden, Maine and all of New England. I mean, it’s a straight up castle, with it’s turrets and stonework and absolutely impeccable vibes. The historic hotel dates back to 1886, but was purchased in 2022 by Brett Haynie & Will Tims, who have restored and updated the entire property. Will & Brett were both present at the wedding I photographed at Norumbega in August 2024, and couldn’t have been kinder. Along with the rest of their small but dedicated staff, myself and the guests felt well cared for.

I photographed Nicole & Christian’s Norumbega Inn wedding in August of 2024, and I quickly fell in love with the design and the grounds. It’s no wonder that in just a few short years of ownership, Will & Brett have landed the Norumbega in publications like Travel & Leisure. The Inn is great for weddings of all sizes - with on-site accommodations for the couple and immediate family or friends, the interior of the Inn is a lovely place for dinner. The grounds can be tented for larger receptions, and the various nooks and crannies of the property make for a photographer’s playground.

The Norumbega Inn is also in a fabulous location. It’s right along Route 1, the primary Maine coastal route, just a mile or two north of Camden. If you’re using the Norumbega as home base for exploration (either for yourself or your guests), many of midcoast Maine’s beautiful attractions are a short distance away (including Acadia National Park, about a 2 hour drive north of the Norumbega).
